For over half a century now, APĀ (Advanced Placement) Program has allowed millions of students across Canada and the US to take college-level courses and earn college credit, advanced placement, or both while still in high school. AP has grown to offer 38 courses across multiple subject areas, each culminating in a college-level AP Exam recognized by colleges and universities.
In June 2017 Toronto International College was authorized to administer AP Exams. By January 2018 the school is planning to offer AP courses to all interested students.
AP courses will provide a rigorous learning experience for high school students. The courses are challenging and stimulating, usually requiring more work than the average high school course.
AP courses can help students in being accepted into and succeeding in post-secondary institutions. Students applying to Canadian universities and colleges have the opportunity to impress Admissions Departments with a record of successful completion of AP courses.
